Hi, I am Ana
Project manager. A parent. An expatriate living in Lisbon, Portugal.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
Origins of the Journey
Moving to Portugal wasn't in the long-range plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The opening months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more tangled than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. Little by little, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began to build something that felt steady.
Why I Built TelNarVorIqum
Most online information fell into two camps: corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was a frank, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to close that gap—practical advice drawn from real life in Portugal.
What This Site Does (And Doesn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when there are meaningful changes
This site isn't:
- A tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in Portugal continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep noting what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Ana
